12 May, 2016 Canterbury – Elham – Chilham (The Cosy/Shelly’s Walk) about 20 miles

Meet corner of South Canterbury Road with Stuppington Lane at 8:00
 
Silver Striders fast route direct to Elham (approx. 10 miles) 
 
There is the option to either finish or begin the walk at Elham if you want to walk 10 miles rather than 20 miles
Look up for the number 17 bus to check journey times:    https://www.stagecoachbus.com/   and then use the ‘Plan a journey’ option (Route 17)
 
Early lunch at The Cosy Tea Rooms – http://www.thecosytearooms.co.uk
 
Depart from the Cosy at approx. 12:30 for Chilham via Stelling Minnis, Waltham, Eggringe Wood and Godmersham (approx. 10 miles)
 
Tea at Shelly’s Tea Rooms  – http://www.shellystearooms.com/shellys-of-chilham/
or bus back to Canterbury without tea stop
 
Buses from Chilham to Canterbury bus station:
1A 16:09  (41 mins)
1A 17:14  (42 mins)
Trains from Chilham Station to Canterbury West:
16:25 (10 mins)
16:45 (9 mins)
17:15 (10 mins)
