Meet outside the Hospital by the Medical Centre at 8:30am
Packed lunch/elevenses
Proceed to the Rugby Club then Nackington, Whitehall Wood, Middle Pett Farm, Hint Cottage, Bourne Park Road. We follow the Elham Valley Way through Bishopsbourne, Charlton Park and Kingston where we take the footpath to cross the A2. We walk to Walk Wood, Woodlands Wood, Pitt Wood, Oxenden Wood then into Adisham but taking the yellow road via Woodlands Farm connecting to the footpath for Twelve Acre Shaw, crossing fields and roads till we get to Shepherds’ Close Road. From Patrixbourne we follow the NDW up Hode Lane to Barton and then Canterbury where the walk ends.

Last week’s Denge Woods Walk:
Is there a better way to celebrate All Saints Day than heading down to the main entrance of the Westgate Gardens for an 8:30am start to a midweek perambulation and coffee?
The route for the walk will be determined on the day and will take account of weather and ground conditions.

Meet outside St. Martin’s Church at 8:00 am
St. Martin’s Church/SVW/then up the hill to footpath behind the barracks/Across the golf club – avoiding balls and golfers/Scotland Hills and footpath to Moat Lane/Stodmarsh Road junction/Across Moat Rough towards Littlebourne/Turn right into Swanton Lane/Across the A257 to footpath that goes by Firdown Wood/Palmstead Wood then carefully along the Bekesbourne Road/Footpath on left and then take connecting footpath on right. We end up at Little Barton Farmhouse,then Spring Lane and down the hill. 6 miles
Last Tuesday’s Toddler’s Coves Walk:
Meet at 8.30am, top of Nunnery Road.
The walk is 14 miles, so we should be back around 2pm. Please bring a picnic/snack and plenty of water.
Nunnery Road, Zealand Road, Lime Kiln Road. Through orchards to New House Lane, past New House Farm to Garlinge Green road. Enter Denge woods, Upper Thruxted Farm, to Mystole Road. Through Shalmsford Street and Chartham, home along the river.
Last week’s walk to Sandwich:
Meet at the main entrance to the Westgate Gardens at 8:30am for this weeks two hour stroll followed by a visit to a city centre coffee shop.
This weeks walk will be decided on the day and will no doubt take into consideration the weather and the best routes to avoid too much mud.

Toddler’s cove via Lansdown Road
SVW to near Tonford Manor; over the Stour, over the A28; Strangers Lane; footpath to New House Lane; footpath by side of Hollow Lane then connecting footpaths behind Wincheap to Zealand Road and then to the top of Nunnery Road where the walk finishes. About 6 miles.

NDW to Patrixbourne/Shepherd’s Close Road/FPs to Adisham/Bossington/Neavy Downs/Gibson’s is a possibility. In any event a packed lunch and something to drink is suggested. Goodnestone Road/Twitham Hill/Crixhall Court/Buckland Lane/Summerfield Farm/Black Pond Farm/Beacon Hill/Marshborough – Vine Farm/Great Poulder’s Farm/Sandwich.

The Langton Path to the end of the school playing fields, rugby club, Nackington then down to the bottom of the fields, by the pylons, then right and left through the firebreak in the woods, up the hill and onto to the Renville path. At Renville take the bridge across the motorway and then carefully walk across the NDR/A2 approach road and onto the lane which connects to the orchards, thence onto Pilgrims’ Way/St Augustine’s Road where the walk concludes. 6 miles
