Meet outside 25 St. Augustine’s Road @ 8:30 am

Minor roads and footpaths: NDW to Patrixbourne, then through Adisham to Love Lane branching off to Goodnestone then yellow roads and footpaths to Eastry to catch the No: 81 bus to Canterbury (12:28; 13:28; 14:28) takes just over an hour via Sandwich and Wingham.

Wednesday Walk – 14 May, 2025

Meet at the main entrance to the Westgate Gardens at 8:30am for this weeks two hour walk followed by a cafe visit.

Weather forecast is sunny and a moderate breeze, perfect walking weather.

This week the walk will be decided on the day.

SSS389 – Tuesday, 13 May, 2025 – Toddler’s Coves Walk

Meet outside the Launderette opposite St. Mary Bredin Church at 8:00am

Toddler’s cove via Lansdown Road

SVW to near Tonford Manor; over the Stour, over the A28; Strangers Lane; footpath to New House Lane; footpath by side of Hollow Lane then connecting footpaths behind Wincheap to Zealand Road and then to the top of Nunnery Road where the walk finishes. About 6 miles.

Wednesday Walk – 7 May, 2025

Meet at the main entrance to the Westgate Gardens at 8:30am for this weeks two hour walk.

The weather forecast is for light cloud and a moderate breeze.

The walk will pass through the university campus and across to Giles Lane. At little Hall farm we’ll cross the field to join Barton Down dropping down to Broadoak Road eventually joining the river path returning to the City Centre via Kingsmead.

SSS388 – Tuesday, 6 May, 2025 – The Hospital Walk

Meet @ 8:00 am outside the hospital – junction of South Canterbury Road with Ethelbert Road
The Langton Path to the end of the school playing fields, rugby club, Nackington then down to the bottom of the fields, by the pylons, then right and left through the firebreak in the woods, up the hill and onto to the Renville path. At Renville take the bridge across the motorway and then carefully walk across the NDR/A2 approach road and onto the lane which connects to the orchards, thence onto Pilgrims’ Way/St Augustine’s Road where the walk concludes. 6 miles
