BRING A PACKED LUNCH
Meet outside 25 St Augustine’s Road at 8:30
No buses this week and, although we may call in at a pub, let’s enjoy the freedom of a packed lunch.
The idea is to engage with a few footpaths we may not have walked thus far. We could also call this ‘The Barham Circle’.
NDR to Patrixbourne, Shepherds’ Close Road, various bridleway connections through to Cooting Downs,
Aylesham Farm, Womenswold, across the A2 (hopefully a bridge) and into Barham (we walk right past a pub here or maybe go in).
Footpath to Out Elmstead, then footpath to Covet Lane, Marley, footpaths over to Charlton Wood
Langham Park Farm, Crows Camp Road, upto Gorsely Wood and then permissive paths through to path which finishes at Pett Bottom
Whitehall Wood, Nackington, Stuppington Lane, Canterbury.
Around 15 miles but with the possibility to return by bus from Barham if a shorter walk is preferred.
SANDWICH BAY ON LAST WEEK’S WALK, WHICH FINISHED AT NORTHBOURNE
