It was good to see so many Striders at our Foundry Christmas do, we all enjoyed it. A big thanks to the manager Flo and her team for their brilliant organisation of our event.
The pic below just about manages to squeeze all fifteen of us into the frame.

Meet as usual at 8:30am at the main entrance to the Westgate Gardens. The walk will end no later than 10:30am and will not be followed by coffee on this occasion. There will be plenty of time to go home and change or for some Christmas shopping before we all meet at the Foundry midday.

The weather forecast for Wednesday is for drizzle with a gentle breeze, let’s hope it improves.

The direction of the walk will be decided, among those of us who attend, on the day.

Last week we discovered a small area we have not previously walked. We were able to get on to the river bank by the Recreation Ground in Thannington. The pic of the lads was taken in the churchyard of St Nicholas Church sitting under a giant ancient Yew tree.
