Meet 8.30am, top of Nunnery Road

The route is about 14 miles, returning around 1.30pm so bring a packed lunch if required.

Zealand Road, left into Lime Kiln Road, behind Wincheap Primary School and crossing Hollow Lane to take the footpath up to New House Lane, New House Farm and the footpath to the Chartham Downs road. Footpath behind Kenfield Hall to Petham, past the church and footpath to Dane Chantry, cross Stone St and take footpath to Bossingham Church, then to Bossingham, Lynsore and Pett Bottom, returning home through Whitehill Woods and Nackington.

Meet at the main entrance to the Westgate Gardens at 8:30am for this weeks two hour walk.

The weather forecast is for light rain and a gentle breeze.

The walk will be determined on the day taking into consideration the weather and ground conditions.

Meet outside St. Martin’s Church at 8:00 am

St. Martin’s Church/SVW/then up the hill to footpath behind the barracks/Across the golf club – avoiding balls and golfers/Scotland Hills and footpath to Moat Lane/Stodmarsh Road junction/Across Moat Rough towards Littlebourne/Turn right into Swanton Lane/Across the A257 to footpath that goes by Firdown Wood/Palmstead Wood then carefully along the Bekesbourne Road/Footpath on left and then take connecting footpath on right.  We end up at Little Barton Farmhouse,then Spring Lane and down the hill.  6 miles

Meet outside the Hospital by the Canterbury Medical Practice, junction of Ethelbert Road with South Canterbury Road @ 8:30am

This is a new variation, initially walking to Pett Bottom, then to Bossingham followed by Stelling Minnis but, just before reaching SM we take yellow roads and footpaths through Elhampark Wood ending up in Elham Village – 10 miles.

Packed lunch to be eaten en route or on the bus back to Canterbury.

Toddler’s cove via Lansdown Road

SVW to near Tonford Manor; over the Stour, over the A28; Strangers Lane; footpath to New House Lane; footpath by side of Hollow Lane then connecting footpaths behind Wincheap to Zealand Road and then to the top of Nunnery Road where the walk finishes. About 6 miles.
